Your words, they tumble from your mouth
Your tongue and lips move freely
I watch you talk with admiration
I wish I could speak easily
You say that I’ll grow out of it,
Right now is just a phase
But even if that’s so, you see
It still gives me heartache
What if I say the wrong thing,
Will they start to think less of me?
But what if I don’t speak at all,
Will they think I’m rude or dull?
Yes, it is a lonely thing
To be this paranoid
But I truly can’t help it
It’s really not my choice
Your tongue and lips move freely
I watch you talk with admiration
I wish I could speak easily
You say that I’ll grow out of it,
Right now is just a phase
But even if that’s so, you see
It still gives me heartache
What if I say the wrong thing,
Will they start to think less of me?
But what if I don’t speak at all,
Will they think I’m rude or dull?
Yes, it is a lonely thing
To be this paranoid
But I truly can’t help it
It’s really not my choice
Don't hate me if it sucks please. I don't usually write poetry and I'm really just experimenting.
